Confessions of a shop-a-holic

Oh how I love me a deal! And that's exactly what I got today!!

There's this children's resale event twice a year that I participate in. It's a great way to get rid of my kids' old stuff and make some money in the process. It's also a great way to buy "new" stuff for my kids' without spending an arm and a leg. Because I'm a consignor and I signed up for 2 volunteer shifts (which are going to kill me!!!) I get to shop before the sale opens to the public. Can we say

AWESOME!!!

So Little Dude and I headed out this morning. I had hopes of getting him a 2-wheeler bike so we got there early. I was shocked to see a line at the door! I felt like I should have walked out of there with some awesome concert tickets or something!

So anywho, here's a run down of what I got......

For GG - totally cool flare jeans and a Hannah Montana shirt. I can't wait to see her face when she sees those!!! I also got her a pack of party supplies - cups, plates, favors, treat bags, and some other stuff that I can't think of at the moment, and pair of soccer pants. The pair of soccer pants she has now are a size 4 or 5 and I swear those things could fit me!! I might be little, but I'm not that little! Whoever sized those obviously did a bad job!!!

For Little Dude - 2 pairs of pants, Thomas pajamas, an adorable Christmas outfit

and.....

A 2-WHEELER BIKE

(with a bell)

Oh, and speaking of bikes, I might as well share GG's bike while I'm at it. There was a bike safety thing at our fire station a few months ago and she was the lucky winner of a brand new bike!! Too bad, it's too big for her, but we are definitely holding on to it!!!

Oh, one more thing. I only spent $63 for all of that stuff! Go me!!

Until next time...

... " come join us for MEme monday again if you have time!!

This Monday's All About MEme: FIVE "breathtaking" white LIES YOU'VE TOLD.

( Ode to Seinfeld)
Ben: What did you say?
Elaine: I said, uh, some snuggly baby.
Ben: He is something.
Elaine: Well, to tell you the truth, Dr. Feffa, I , I was surprised to hear you use a word like breathtaking to describe a baby, I mean, because you also used it referring to me.

Ben: Well, you know Elaine, sometimes you say things just to be nice.

(Elaine relieved, then confused, not knowing if he was being nice to her or to the baby)
