Old School

Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom. I wouldn't trade this life in for any other. But sometimes I just have those days where I miss being young.

And for the record

I AM NOT OLD!!!

I'm just older than the days I like to remember.

I miss being able to sleep til noon. Well, on the weekends anyway. And in the summer. Chris lets me sleep in on the weekends, which is one of the many reason I love him. But I don't sleep that late.

I miss being able to do what you want without having to get a babysitter. I could typically stay out later, too. Yes, I had a curfew, but it seems the older I get, the earlier the curfew set by said babysitter gets.

I miss days like this...

Party

I'm the first girl on the left.

We were having a going away party for a friend. My best friend T (the receiver of the party) and I were talking about this night the other day. We laughed for a long while about the cake we had that night. Honestly, I don't remember actually eating any of the cake. Let's just say we were busy digging it out of our ears while my mom was wiping it off her bathroom walls!

And, by the way, that group of people you see above... well, someone in that group thought it was a good idea to make a pyramid. Being one of the lighter ones, guess who was stuck at the top! I wish I had a picture of that!

I love being a mom, but sometimes I miss the old school days.

Until next time...

Aw me too, I miss being able to just have the luxury to have too many drinks and not worry about the repercussions the next day!

Me too. I miss being able to pick up and go without making umpteen plans and packing a million things.

But...I wouldn't really want to go back.

You know that picture doesn't make much sense at all and that is why I like it!

I miss those days, too. Not having to plan everything out so far in advance and worrying about a sitter.

it comes back around and then you are to old to do it all. Or at least that is what your body tells you the next morning. I love the fact that my kids are self suffient and can take care of themselvs. I hate the fact that my body feels like it was run over the day after.

It sounds like you had a blast that night! I miss those days too! I have no kids but I have these annoying ass dogs that want out of their crate in the morning. What the hell?! They sleep all damn day, but all of a sudden when I want to sleep in... Oh no... LoL :)
