Meme's Horror Stories

Dark side

I love, love, LOVE this time of year!
Dressing up, candy, haunted houses, candy, scary movies, candy.....

Did I mention I love this time of year?

So of course I have some good tales to share with all of you!

First off, let's start with my neighborhood. There's this house behind mine. There's a family that lives there and they have a little boy. He's only a few years old and there is something wrong with him. He doesn't talk.....he screeches!!! It's like nails on a chalk board! If that doesn't send chills up you back, I don't know what will!

Chalkboard

But seriously, are you ready for the good stuff?
Cuz here's a good story for you!

Green Man Tunnel

I did a little research on the place and it turns out there are a few locations for this haunting, but the story remains the same. This Green Man was electrocuted by power lines or struck by lightening. He was horribly disfigured and possibly died as a result of his unfortunate accident. Whether his ghost roams the area or the story just travels like urban legends do, I don't know, but here's MY story......

Back in the good ole high school days, me and 4 friends decided to seek out this notorious Green Man. Our first location was locked up and grown over, so we figured it was a no go. We decided to investigate the Green Man Tunnel closer to our house. We drove down the dark, windy road to the tunnel. I, the driver, parked the car at the entrance to the tunnel. My 3 friends were going to walk through the tunnel while I waited in the car. My job was to blow the horn 3 times. By doing this, you make his ghost appear.

They got out and started to walk. I beeped 3 times and no one saw anything. They tried calling his name. Nothing. They were about halfway through the tunnel when we heard a car and saw headlights coming. They ran back towards my car to avoid getting hit. I also had to move the car. When I went to start the car, it wouldn't start! I tried again, it worked. I threw the car in gear and we turned around. There was no car coming and driving up the hill to leave the tunnel, we saw no other cars on the road or any evidence that a car was there recently.

I know we didn't see Green Man himself, but to hear noises and see car lights coming at you but no car....ya, we were pretty freaked out! Haven't been back since. I'm actually getting chills as I type this! And sorry if I missed any typos up until this point. I really don't want to reread the story again! It's creepy!!!

While I was going through the plethora of images provided by Google trying to find a picture of Green Man Tunnel (which I did not find), I came across this. This has got to be one of the freakiest things I have ever seen! I know not everyone likes spooky things, but you HAVE to watch this and you HAVE to watch the whole video!

Until next time...

I would probably get nightmares forever about that tunnel. I love the dressing up part of Halloween, but not any of the spooky stuff.

And, I'm still not watching that video...not unless someone tells me that it's not scary, that it's a joke or something.

Maybe Green Man is just getting lazy or sick of kids beeping the horn at him so he went and bought a new green ghost car lol.

Bloody Mary and Resurrection Mary were real big here. And we have Bachelors Grove Cemetery which is famous for having the ghost house full of ghost monks that kill you. Never been there, don't plan on it either.
