What I've Learned This Past Year

I have learned that I am one lazy chick!

Up until the end of last summer, I was a full time working gal. I worked in child care and at the same location where my kids went during the day. During the school year it wasn't too bad because we only had to pay for 1 of the kids. But once summer came...

BAM!!!!
Money
Huge bill!

And it came right out of my paycheck. It got to the point where it wasn't worth it to work. All I was really doing was paying for child care. Even with what they called an employee discount, the tuition was astronomical!

I could do what I did there at home.

For free!

Plus there's a whole long list of other reason I quit, which I won't delve into now. I'll be here quite a while if I do.

Anywho, I am lazy. When I was working I always made sure to look presentable. Well, as nice as I could anyway. I wasn't about to wear my nicest most favorite pair of jeans to work and have them ruined by endless boogers and baby spit up. But I still made it a point to look like I cared about my appearance, which I did.

Now that I'm a SAHM, part of me could care less what I look like. At least in the mornings. I just don't see the point of getting all dolled up at the butt crack of dawn only to sit in a car for 2 hours. Who's gonna see me? No one!

Here, let me show you what I'm talking about.....

Hat head

No make-up!

Not that I usually wear any, because I don't,
but I think in this pic I could use a little help.

I took out my ponytail to show you
that I have a permanent case of what looks like
hat head.
I badly need a haircut!
All I can do with it anymore is pull it up!

Sweats
Slipper socks, sweats, and worn out clogs.
You can't get much simpler than that.

Hey, at least I didn't wear these out of the house....
Penguins
If I did, that would be the one time I would run into someone
who wants to have a long
and what they think to be an interesting
conversation.

Even Little Dude partakes in the drabbiness of it all!

Pajamas
He had to sleep in his jersey last night for good luck.
And they match the tool pj pants oh so well, don't you think?

Seriously, by the time I have to get GG from school when I get home from taking C and GG where they need to be I change out of the sweats and straighten my ponytail fix my hair.

It really did feel good to confess. Plus I wanted to take part in Drabby no Friday over at Cheapskate Mom's blog. I like to win stuff =)

Please pity forgive my lack in ability to dress properly all the time and wish me luck!

Until next time...

I completely understand. My little guy goes to school only in the afternoon and I swear it's usually 11 am before I get him in the shower. I still look a mess most of the time!

LMAO Summer - same here I let the gals roam free (not that those little barely b's roam far...but still!)

Great entry! Thanks for participating! I'm picking a winner today!
