How can you have any Kool-aid if you don't have any sugar?!

I love my kids. I love them so much more when they go together so very well.

Like Kool-aid and sugar.

Kool-aid

It's when they're like oil and water that I want to poke my eyes out with a spork. This past weekend was one of those weekends.

Friday the husband was home from work. Everyone slept in and all was grand. All except for the change in routine. Such a change does not do well when it comes to Little Dude. Bedtime couldn't have come fast enough. A good night's sleep was all he needed to make Saturday a great day.

Or so I thought.

Saturday started out great. Again we all slept in so everyone was all rainbows and unicorns. The husband and I were cleaning out the garage and the basement and the kids were all about helping us. How awesome is that?!?

After a few hours of cleaning we decided to call it quits for the day. I figured it was a good time to let the kids lay on the couch and watch a few cartoons and relax. They apparently had other plans.

After an hour I was ready to poke my eyes out with a spork. There was pouting from one, throwing of things from another, crying from another (aka me). Just when I didn't think I could take it anymore, my phone rang. When I saw who was calling it was like a choir of angels singing to me.

GG's friend was calling to ask her to sleepover. Of course I said yes! I might be crazy, but I'm not stupid! After GG left, we let Little Dude play his Webkinz on the new computer set-up we have going on. The rest of my evening was nothing short of beautiful - no fighting, no crying. Just pure joy.

I guess Kool-aid doesn't always need sugar.

Until next time....

Oh man, this is what my evening was like too...fingers scrapping across the blackboard of my life courtesy of my three sons.

I had one of those "poking my eye out with a spork" times on Friday and declared myself on strike for the weekend. I didn't do much of anything and I am proud of it! HA!

Glad that stuff doesnt just happen at my pad...My boys are either best friends or enemies and to be honest both can be trouble! When they get on the same team it's double trouble!

LOL!! Kool-Aid and sugar. Awesome. I guess maybe you could say it was a sugar-free kool-aid night. ;-)
