Snowy Photobooth

Hopefully I won't be given a reason to take pictures like this for a long, long time! 20+ inches of snow is definitely not my idea of fun!

But GG and Little Dude had a blast. Well, once Little Dude got over his fears. There's so much out there that it's really hard for him to just walk into the yard and start playing. It freaked him out quite a bit. But once I gave him a shovel, he was happy as a clam!

After we did some relocating of snow, we took a walk. Let me just clarifty that's there's really not much room to move the snow from walkways to the side. We did our best and the kids turned their new mountains into forts.

The first picture is what we saw coming out of the garage. That was the only way out of the house because the snow came 1/2 way up the front door! The kids were trying to find the steps that lead up to the porch. Not an easy task. Little Dude had quite a few face plants along the way. Or as GG called them, snow plants!

Picture #2, Little Dude overcame his fear and decided to try and bury himself. It really wasn't that hard to do!

We then went for a walk. Our crazy neighbors up the street rarely shovel and when they do, it's usually thrown into the street. Today they actually did their sidewalk and a path from the garage to the street. You could say we came to a crossroads in our journey.

The last picture is of the kids standing next to our car. The car that is parked 2 blocks away from our house. By the time we got home last night, we didn't think we would be able to drive down our street. And if we did there was no way we were making it into the driveway. To get to our house, you have to go downhill and then go uphill into our driveway. Not fun at all when the weather sucks!

Many of you know that I really am not a fan of the snow or the cold, but I will admit that when there's enough snow to cover everything, it can be quite beautiful!

We only got 6 inches and it is tooooo much in my opinion. I let everyone else remove snow, and play in it. I used indoor chores as an excuse, LOL

I so hear ya on this one! Our street hasn't been plowed yet, we can't go anywhere!! It really is beautiful, though. I went outside in the middle of the night and wow, it was so peaceful and serene and quiet and just, beautiful!
