Where's the Brandy?
Wordful Wednesday

History CenterLast Saturday, this is the line we stood in. From the corner of the building to the front door took about 45 minutes. With 2 young kids, it felt at least twice that long. Thankfully they bleed black and gold like their parents. They loved hearing the story behind that goal post when it was at 3 Rivers Stadium. And they loved hearing about the Immaculate Reception.

Stanley Cup

Once we got to this point, we were so tired of waiting. I was tempted to take this picture and call it a day. But what was beyond the doors was so much better than a wood sign.

Thankfully once in doors, and after an hour and a half of waiting, we came to these fine pieces.

Conn Smythe, Art Ross, and the big one in the photo on the right
is the Eastern Conference trophy (Prince of Wales).

Please don't ask me to name the other 3 in that case!

There were 10 trophies in all
that the Penguins have won over the years.

And after yet another hour and a half wait
we came to the best trophy of all...

Stanley Cup
It was the coolest feeling in the world to touch the Stanley Cup. GG was so ridiculously excited because she was allowed to hug the cup.

All in all, we spent close to 4 hours at the History Center. No, we did not walk around the History Center. That's how long we stood in line! But it was definitely worth the wait.

*disclaimer ~ no children were harmed during the longest,
most excruciating 4 hour wait ever;
my own nor any around us*

Until next time...
