No One Ever Said I Was Right in the Head!

It's a sick day in my house today. Sort of.

GG has been fighting a cold for the past few days. Nothing too bad and no reason to keep her up in bed all day. I was hoping this wouldn't happen, but apparently this cold has triggered her asthma. Poor baby sounds like a barking seal!

Baby seal

I gave her a few Albuterol treatments yesterday. I even woke her up before I went to bed to give her one more. That reminded me of the old days when she was still little - treatments every few hours throughout the night.

Anyway, me and Little Dude can apparently sleep through the end of the world so I had no idea she was coughing all night long. Yes, I feel guilty about that, even though I can't really control how I sleep. But I know this little fact because Chris was up all night listening to her. I decided to keep GG home from school today just for the exhaustion factor. And to give her some more medicine to kick this asthma to the curb! The sucky thing about this is I now have to deal with both kids all day. Little Dude is going to want to play all day and GG will be tired and cranky all day. Not a good mix!

Although I did have half a mind to send GG to school day, just for the distraction factor. I have mentioned in the past that I don't like her teacher, nor does anyone other parent from the class. In fact, every time I talk to another parent, my dislike increases. I heard yet another incident yesterday! Part of me would have gotten a kick out of pissing off her teacher. Hey, not once did I say I was always right in the head!!! But yes, i do realize that's wrong and just not good for the health of my daughter. But I do chuckle a bit when I think about what I could have done.

I guess I should get a move on the meds for the day. And maybe some more coffee foe me. Ya know, just to keep my sanity somewhat in tack!

Until next time....

Hope she gets better. I remember the days of getting up in the middle of the night to give my daughter breathing treatments. NOT FUN.
