That's A Lot of Lights, Batman!!

Every year I dread putting up the Christmas lights. Not the tree cuz I bought that prelit. Best investment EVER!!!

It's outside I dread. Which string is polarized and which is not? What plugs into where? And what order should I plug them in so no one trips over anything? I hate it every year! And than like most things I wait til the last minute and then am forced to put the lights up in the freezing cold. Just another reason to complain even more.

But I've realized that I have it easy.

Can you imagine putting up 265,000 lights? And then syncing them to music!

Check this out...

And that video does this house no justice! I know this cuz the house is 5 minutes from mine. I'm surprised I don't see the glow from here! This display now takes up 3 yards, but apparently the neighbors don't mind. It just means they don't have to decorate. The home owners were interviewed on the news and they said they like to keep the music low as to not disturb the neighbors (you can turn the radio in your car to a certain station to hear the music from the display). That's very considerate, but good god that's a lot of lights!!!! I would hate to have that shining on me when I'm trying to go to sleep!

Here's their website is you want to see more pics and videos...

Oh, and one more awesome thing about this house. They have a box where you can drop in some cash for Children's Hospital. Awesome, right?!?

Until next time...

I love it- as long as the lights are shining in my bedroom window at night, I think displays like that are awesome.

WOW! I'm glad it is 5 minutes from your house and not next door too - I'm like you - there's no way I'd be able to sleep with all of those lights shining in on me! LOL But what a generous and wonderful idea about an easy way to donate to the Children's hospital - taht is WONDERFUL and what the true meaning of Christmas is all about - Jesus and the spirit of giving. P.S. Thank you so much for your kind words and birthday wishes for my grandmother - I will miss her forever. :o( Big hugs! :o)

I love driving around and finding all the houses that go all out with the lights.. or the streets that all go in together and make the whole block a themed winter wonderland. But I would never ever ever want to take on that kinda project myself.

They must make up schematic diagrams outlining the whole thing. I can't even imagine!
