Guilt, because, yet again, we failed to send out Christmas cards. I mean to send them out every year, but life gets in the way. By the time I remember, it's too late to do anything about it. This year in particular I really failed at Christmas cards. Why, you ask? Because I don't even have Christmas pictures of the kids.
Yes I have a picture of Little Dude with Santa, and one of GG with Santa, but not one of both of them. I have a picture of our tree that I am in love with this year, but not a picture of the tree with the kids around it.
I may have failed with those pictures, but I do have a picture of something cool...
GG is definitely a shop-a-holic! Those boots and gloves were part of her latest purchase.
You see, over the weekend, I brought down my iron fist and demanded the children to help clean the house.
Or maybe what I really did was bribe GG with a shopping trip to use up some gift cards if she cleaned. Bribery works. Sue me.
Until next time...

I have to lay on the guilt this afternoon and tomorrow. We need o get the house clean by Thursday.
I just mailed out my Christmas cards Monday. I think they will all make it on time. Well the ones to Utah and Washington are iffy.
Bribery really does work!
I always send Christmas cards, however, I usually do the photo kind, so I kill two birds with one stone. And I use labels, which are already created and saved, and I make Buddy help me. It's something he actually enjoys, and it helps me finish them faster.
All that said, mine FINALLY went out in the mail yesterday.
I sent out my cards a week or so ago, only because I earned some free ones from tiny prints that I really loved. Since then we are at the hospital every day with my mom. Rough Christmas.. wishing you and yours a blessed and peaceful one.
I start my Xmas cards in November so that once December rolls around they are one of the first items off my list. Because they really are one of those time-consuming tasks that grow more annoying and difficult to complete the closer you get to Xmas.
There's nothing wrong with bribery for cleaning :)
Also, my Christmas cards are always a collage of various things. I very rarely have it together enough to find one great photo ;)
You've passed along your love of shoes, for sure!
No cards here, either.
Love that the bribery worked. I'd bribe mine... but it really doesn't work. They'd rather just keep playing in the middle of the mess.
